New Ops Manual published 5th November 2023 - Have you read and signed the acknowledgement form?
Below you will find all the details of how we operate as a centre. Volunteers are expected to be familiar with the core sections and the site specific sections for any site they are operating from.
This Document details how we operate as a centre and covers all operations out of our primary water base in Thames Ditton. All NGB instructors must be familiar with these procedures and complete the acknowledgement process (detailed in the document) before they instruct at the centre. All other volunteers must be familiar with the "On the water Operations" Section if they are helping with an water based activities, but all are encouraged to read the full document.
Island Barn is an additional water base that may be used for sailing including RYA Training. Located 15 Mins from our Thames Ditton base it provides an alternative venue when conditions on the river are not suitable for the planned training.
We have a coastal Sailing base at cobnor Point, where we keep 3 Wayfarers for recreational and expedition sailing activities.
NOTE: NO RYA TRAINING MAY BE CONDUCTED OUT OF OUR COBNOR BASE.
Any RYA training at Cobnor must be done through Cobnor Activities Centre (contact our centre principal for further details).
Note that we cannot undertake RYA Training at these other Sites, however they we can under take recreational scout boating.
Some of the other sites we use are:
River Wey - Kayaking or Canoeing Only
