Appendix I: Single DI Sessions

Checklist for DI running SIngle sessions

With the agreement of both the Principal and the CI Sailing, a DI may deliver a training session without direct supervision. 

This is subject to:

• An agreed session plan

• That the CI Sailing is confident that the DI fully understands and has the skills to operate in accordance the centre Ops Manual, especially sections on roles and the operation of the centre.

• Follow up de-brief for CI Sailing by the DI to include session feedback and updating the training records.

• Within these sessions, it is expected that the Dinghy Instructor will be the Duty Officer unless another nomination exists.
